Eco-friendly water-based wood preservatives

In response to the growing demand for water-soluble pressure-treated wood preservatives and anti-termite repellent with high wood penetration, excellent efficacy, and environmental friendly, we have developed Lignocare LC-350. The treated wood will have a moss green color. LC-350 is a formulation containing copper compounds for decay and termite resistance, cyproconazole as a fungicide, and lignosulfonic acid as a wood fixing agent.

Features of Lignocare LC-350

  • It is a combination of safe copper compounds with a long history of use and highly safe and effective azole-based antibacterial repellent, achieving both efficacy and safety.
  • A natural wood-derived fixing agent is added. Lignosulfonic acid fixes and stabilizes the active ingredients in the wood with the help of enzymes.
  • It is highly safe and does not contain boron, harmful elements (arsenic, chromium), harmful VOCs (toluene, xylene, etc.), compounds suspected of having endocrine-disrupting effects, or substances related to sick house syndrome.
  • It is a domestic product manufactured in accordance with Japan's stringent safety and quality standards.

*Lignocare LC-350 meets the performance standards specified in JIS K 1571, a Japanese Industrial Standard for wood preservatives. It is registered in JIS K 1570 and certified by the Japan Wood Preservation Association. The treated wood also has JAS and AQ certifications.

About Lignosulfonic Acid

Lignosulfonic acid is a natural compound obtained as a byproduct during pulp production at paper mills. Until now, most of it has been incinerated, with only a small portion used as a surfactant. By pressure-injecting lignosulfonic acid into wood along with active ingredients, enzymes and oxygen work to fix it within the wood. As a result, the leaching of active ingredients from the treated wood is reduced,

Wet-treatment method

Water-based preservative and anti-termite treatment is a conventional pressure impregnation method. Our company uses Lignocare LC-350 as a water-based wood preservatives. Lignocare LC-350 contains a fixing agent that reduces the leaching of active ingredients from the treated product. Therefore, the treated product using Lignocare LC-330 has excellent durability because the active ingredients are firmly fixed in the wood after curing.
